What’s the Difference Between a Storm Case & a Regular Hard Case?
- Military grade protection
- Drop, smash and shatter resistant
- Dust protection
- Watertight
Six Benefits of a Peli Storm Hard Case?
1. Â Â Press & Pull Latches for Ease & Security
The Storm case manufactured by Peli offer a unique locking system no other hard case provides. The latches open quickly and easily with a push of a button but remain securely closed under impact and pressure. This type of latch means that the case has a dustproof and watertight seal when closed, offering extra security and protection for the contents inside.
2. Â Â HPX High Impact Resin Case
The Peli Storm cases are manufactured using an injection mould process, making it stronger than any other case. The high-quality materials used allow it to be both lightweight and extremely durable during all weather conditions.
3. Â Â Ergonomically Moulded Handled
These unique hard cases are designed with virtually unbreakable handles. Offering a different design to usual hard cases, these handles can fit a padlock through them adding an extra level of security.
4. Â Â Impact & Shock Designed
The Peli storm case is designed with science in mind. The shock protection design delivers enhanced protection against instances of drop, collision and physical impact. The rounded corners offer specialised shock protection that absorbs impact, making it better able to withstand the physical demands of travelling whilst also protecting against accidents.
5. Â Â Easy Grip Handles for Comfort
The Peli case is not only designed with protection in mind, but also comfort. The hard case is created with double-layered soft-grip handles, allowing users to carry a heavy load more easily. This not only reduces strain on the fingers and wrists but means that the user is less likely to drop the case.
6. Â Â Airtight Valve & Dustproof Seal
The Storm Peli case is arguably the most protective case on the market. Its trademark Vortex Valve automatically adjusts air pressure without letting in water, creating an airtight seal. This unique feature makes it perfect for adverse weather conditions. The seal around the case is fit with a polymer O-ring, making it completely watertight and dustproof.

How to Customise The Interior of Your Hard Carry Case
It’s what’s on the inside that matters, no really! The interior of your storm Peli case is essential in securing and protection your equipment. There are a number of ways to customise the interior of the case to go above and beyond the standard protection.
Standard Foam Inserts
A standard Peli Storm case will come with a Pick n Pluck foam insert. This is a do-it-yourself sheet of foam that allows you to shape the foam according to your device. All you need to do is measure your device, pull apart the sheet of foam and slot it into the case. This type of foam insert can be purchased as a standalone addition to most hard cases; however, it doesn’t offer the bespoke and precise cutting that custom foam offers.
Custom Cut Foam
As mentioned above, for a more precise and snug fit (especially important for more fragile and expensive equipment) it is recommended that you opt for a custom-cut foam interior. The design options are endless, your hard case can offer single or multiple layers, with or without compartments and offer colour contrasting cavities. PottertonPacs offer bespoke die cut polyether foam inserts, trays or dividers.
Padded Dividers & Organisers
Using padded dividers is another way to organise and safely store your equipment in your Peli case. Peli manufacture dividers for most cases, though like other inserts they can also be purchased as a standalone addition.
What is the foam made from? Padded dividers are made of durable nylon and foam together, making them surprisingly versatile, as they mould around the size of each compartment needed.
Organisers are also great foam inserts to keep smaller accessories and spare parts stored safely. A lid organiser allows you to separate smaller items and secure them in place with loops or hooks. You can use your Peli case for pretty much anything and be able to tailor it towards what you need it for more.
