Description

Packaging Foam Pads, Sheets & More

Our flexible manufacturing approach and wide-ranging machinery allow us to produce fully customised inserts that are precisely cut to suit specific product requirements. Our durable Polyurethane and Polyethylene Packaging Foam ranges have options which include open and closed cell options with various densities, grades and colour choices.

As expert foam converters and fabricators, we go beyond basic foam sheets, blanks and pads with the capability to produce both high and low volumes of fully customised foam inserts with precision-cut recesses designed to fit individual products at cost-effective pricing points.

Polyurethane (PU) Foams

Our polyurethane foams are conventional packaging foams with an open-cell structure which is flexible and extensively used in medium and low-density variations to produce durable packaging inserts for boxes and cases.

  • Polyurethane material options include HLB22 (HLB stands for high load bearing) and E29 packaging is not fire retardant as standard however fire retardant forms are available if required.
  • With good resilience for packaging applications, polyurethane foam materials are typically grey in colour with a well-proven performance and suitability for use as protective packaging.
  • Not only used as sheets and pads these packaging foams can quickly and easily be converted into custom foam inserts for cases and boxes at volume protecting your products and profit margins.
  • With a high degree of vibration and cushioning protection, you can ensure products are protected from costly transit damage during transport and handling.

Whether you require high-volume production or small-batch custom runs, our team works collaboratively to provide tailored protective packaging and presentation solutions that meet your business needs.

Ethafoam, Stratocell, Polylam (PE) Foams

PE foams offer economy packaging foam solutions for transporting and shipping heavier spare parts, tools or equipment.

  • Polyethylene packaging foam materials are lightweight, in a range of densities, semi-rigid, closed cell materials with protective qualities.
  • Water-resistant and impervious to a broad range of chemicals and mildew.
  • Commonly used for various bespoke protective packaging requirements offering a high level of shock absorption and cushioning properties, ensuring your goods remain fully protected and arrive transit damage-free.

Foam Packaging Solutions for a Range of Applications

Both our polyurethane (PU) and polyurethane (PE) foams are suitable for an incredibly diverse range of packaging needs such as:

  • Protective transit damage prevention
  • Long-life reusable packaging
  • Foam inserts for cases or boxes
  • Retail & point of display
  • Enhanced product presentation

Our Manufacturing Processes

Foam Sheet or Pads
Our precision manufacturing begins with large foam blocks or sheets depending upon the type of foam material selected.

Die Cutting
The process involves using a knife tool to stamp foam on a large hydraulic flatbed press, delivering consistent quality by cutting all sections in a single press motion.

CNC Processes
A major advantage of CNC cutting over die cutting is no tooling is required. It does however require a programme to be created.

Waterjet Cutting
A precision CNC technique using high-pressure water streams to cut foam shapes with exceptional accuracy.

CNC Routing
CNC Routing is a computerised milling, drilling, and cutting technique similar to waterjet cutting that requires programming but no physical tooling.

Fabricated Foam Parts
Foam products that are manufactured using a variety of techniques from cutting to laminating, are commonly referred to as fabricated foam parts and also:

  • foam end caps
  • foam packaging trays
  • foam pad sets
  • foam case or box inserts
  • display foam

We are also able to offer anti-static and fire-retardant foam solutions, providing comprehensive packaging protection that addresses diverse industry safety and regulatory requirements.
